Most PADI Instructors are MSDTs or OWSIs — IDC Staff Instructor is for those who want to go further and start shaping the next generation of instructors directly. As the name suggests, you'll assist Course Directors during Instructor Development Courses, working alongside candidates on teaching presentations and standards application.
This rating also opens the door toward Master Instructor and, eventually, Course Director status if that's where you're headed. It's a genuine step up in responsibility — you'll be directly shaping how new instructors learn to teach, under my supervision as Course Director.

PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) status required, along with strong teaching experience as an active PADI Instructor.
