Tec 50 is the final course in the core open-circuit TecRec sequence before trimix-level training. Building on Tec 40 and Tec 45, it prepares you to plan and conduct extended-range dives to 50 metres/165 feet, using multiple decompression stops and two decompression gases.
By this point, the fundamentals are second nature and the course pushes further into multi-gas decompression planning, extended runtime management, and the contingency thinking that defines a genuinely competent technical diver. It's also the direct prerequisite for Tec Trimix 65.
